Living with restless legs

I have suffered from restless legs for as long as I can remember; just like my mother and her mother before her, only we called it nervous legs. There was no medical term for it back then; we just thought it was a family thing. Miserable as we were, we just learned to live with it because no one seemed to know what it was.

Do you have a similar story? I think one of the greatest helps is to know there are others out there like us. We are not alone and the world is becoming more and more aware of what Restless Leg Syndrome is every day. There are more discussions and dialogue. There is more research. There are more medicines and natural alternatives. Just remember there is help for you out there, so don’t be discouraged, YOUR LIFE CAN BE BETTER.

Everyone’s RLS symptoms are different. Some are more severe than others or manifest themselves in different ways, but there are answers and hope for each of us. It might mean digging a little deeper or spending more time researching. It also might mean giving up some of our guilty pleasures such as alcohol, tobacco and caffeine or recommitting to that exercise program and learning to eat healthy, but if you are serious about finding relief we can help.
