I have not had Crohn’s disease so I am sure you are right about long term treatments, but if these other things can help or minimize some of the symptoms then I say why not? This is an interesting perspective, and your suggestions may prove to be beneficial… and I absolutely agree with looking after ones bowl health in the way you have suggested. I do feel though, as someone recently diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, that I should point out that treatment is not as simple as probiotics or other formulas. Because Crohn’s is an autoimmune disease (in contrast to IBS), these options may help to manage symptoms during flare ups, but ultimately life long use of immunosupressents is the only treatment option prior to surgery (and are thus the normative treatment).
